It is not just the yummy food that was counted here, but the contest gave great weightage to the people, art, culture, environment and history of food before awarding any city in this prestigious list.
1.The award-winning song Naatu-Naatu has been shot on a real set, outside the Presidential Palace of Ukraine. This is the current residence of President Zelensky of Ukraine. There is a parliament right beside the palace. The filmmakers of RRR believe they got the permission to shoot here as the President of Ukraine himself was a television actor once.
2.Naatu-Naatu was to be originally shot at a grand set at a discreet location in Delhi. Director SS Rajamouli had plans to erect a huge set to bring alive the India of 1920’s in Delhi but this plan could not take off.
3.The Choreographer Prem Rakshith and team had to try more than 80 variations for the eye-catching hook step of Naatu-Naatu before the director finally liked one, which is visible on screen.
4.The actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan had to give 18 takes to get the perfect timing and sync together for acing the hook step of Naatu-Naatu, to get OK from the celebrated director in SS Rajamouli. For having perfection in every move, the director froze frames to check the sync the actors had while doing the step. The earlier plan according to the Choreographer was to have 100 dancers in the background but the actors gave a superlative performance and the original plan was shelved.
5.The award-winning music composer, MM Keeravani has a very interesting story. He is the only music composer with three different identities .He lives in Andhra Pradesh and his musical journey is over three decades old. Many do not know that this maestro has regaled Bollywood too long back in the 90’s with his soul-touching magic touch. Jism, Rog, Paheli, Jakhm & Sur are some of his timeless musical hits even popular today. He has been known as MM Kreem to the Hindi film industry. According to stories, once popular Hindi lyricist, Nida Fazli went to meet his music composer, MM Kreem for discussing a song with Kreem in Chennai but could not find anyone with this credential.
